Offering solutions since 1970 in 12 countries
ACCIONA started carrying out projects in Latin America in the 1970s under the firms Entrecanal y Távora and Cubiertas y MZOV. The countries where important civil works projects were first carried out were Peru, Colombia and Mexico.
ACCIONA carried out its first project in Peru in 1974, when it participated in a hydroelectric and irrigation project in the Majes-Arequipa Valley.
Since ACCIONA opened its office in Mexico in 1978, interest in the country has continued to grow, and has become one of the company's main markets. Proof of this is the presence of all the main businesses of the company.
ACCIONA's presence in Chile dates back to 1993. It is one of the company's strategic markets in South America. It actively participates in the public and private infrastructure sectors. It also provides innovative solutions in energy and water desalination.
ACCIONA set up its office in Brazil in 1996. It has developed important infrastructure projects for public and private clients in the country. It is present in the South, South-East and North-East regions, with its headquarters in São Paulo and offices in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Bahia, Fortaleza (Ceará), Curitiba (Paraná) and Novo Hamburg (Rio Grande do Sul).
ACCIONA began its journey in El Salvador with the ambitious and strategic National Plan of Territorial Structuring and Development in 2001. Since then, it has maintained a permanent presence in the country, developing emblematic projects of renewable energies and construction of civil works.
From its office in San Salvador, ACCIONA also pursues business opportunities in the rest of Central America and the Caribbean, with recent contracts in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, etc.
ACCIONA has also been operating in the Dominican Republic since 2009.
ACCIONA opened an office in Ecuador in 2012, where it has construction and water projects.
ACCIONA has been present in Costa Rica since 2012 with two of its main lines of business: Water and Energy.
It started its activity in Panama in 2013 and today has completed over 5 major projects. In addition, it is developing one of the most important road projects in the country: the rehabilitation of the Pan-American Highway, section: Bridge of the Americas – Arraiján. It consists of the construction of a road of almost 12 km that will provide a mobility solution to the residents of the province of Panama West.
ACCIONA has been operating in Nicaragua since 2015 where it has worked on several projects to build drinking water treatment plants and to improve and expand drinking water systems.
