The generation and use of energy accounts for 35 % of total greenhouse gas emissions in the world. This activity is the largest contributor to global warming. This connection will make it possible to distribute the water treated in the upgraded DWTP to just about any location in the region. In this regard, the Second Ring (also known as the water equivalent of Madrid's M-50 ring road) will connect the plant to the DWTP in Colmenar Viejo.
