ACCIONA, as part of Laguna Lake Consortium together with DM Consulting Inc., has been selected by Mayniland Water Services to build and operate the drinking-water plant at Laguna Lake in Muntinlupa, at the southern end of the metropolitan area of Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

The project will be built in two phases, reaching a final treatment capacity of 150,000 m3 per day. The Laguna Lake Consortium will also undertake the operation and maintenance of the plant for 12 months.

Laguna Lake DWTP will help to solve the problem of poor water quality in the area, applying an advanced treatment process of sludges and algae, among other features.

Furthermore, as the site where the plant will be located is a floodable area, it will be necessary to do some filling and raising of the land level (5.5 meters).

The plot where the plant will be located is around two kilometers away from where ACCIONA carried out the Putatan II project.
