Multi-functional light-weight wall panel
Multi-functional light-weight wall panel based on adaptive insulation and nanomaterials for energy efficient buildings.
The main objective of this EU project is to develop a climate adaptive panel that will be able to adapt properties to regulate the indoor conditions without auxiliary heating and cooling.
The novel panel will consists of three elements: 1) lightweight concrete for efficient thermal storage, 2) adaptable polymer materials for switchable thermal resistance and 3) total heat exchanger for temperature, moisture and anti-bacterial control.
It is expected that innovative retrofitting with ADAPTIWALL panel will be quicker, lower cost and more efficient solution that current retrofitting methodologies.
