The Project & Opportunity:
Acciona Construction is in delivery of a number of projects across Adelaide and regional South Australia and we are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the team.
Work on a high-profile infrastructure project as part of a global team, using continuous improvement methodology and innovative technology which enable us to leave a genuine legacy.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Project Engineer supports the Construction Manager in achieving safe, timely, and high-quality project completion within budget. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring contractual profitability and obligations are met.
Key accountabilities:
- As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to
- cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
- Identification and assessment of risk to the project as well as implementation of strategies to mitigate risk
- Use your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
- Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning
- Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground
- Build effective and & collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
- Maintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Demonstrated experience leading a team on a major rail or infrastructure project
- Experience managing and develop long-term programs as well as display a high level of competency around contracts, cost forecasting, & management of a large team of engineers
- Advanced communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and client representatives
