Job Description

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

 

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking a variety of dedicated Plant Operators to share their expertise within our growing Transmission Line team. In this role, you will play an integral part of laying out access tracks and early preconstruction work.

Successful candidates will be required to DIDO/BIBO to the Central-West Orana region from Sydney, if not local to the Central West Orana region, and be required to live away from home working a 14/7 roster.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Digging trenches, creating a stable base for the track, and moving excavated materials
  • Ensuring the track surface is level and compacted to provide a stable and durable base
  • Preparing the track surface, leveling the ground, and ensuring proper drainage
  • Outstanding safety knowledge with safety at the forefront of all work carried out

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working on large scale infrastructure and/or renewable construction projects
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction
  • Excavator ticket and experience up to 15 tonnes
  • Grader ticket and experience operating 140M Grader
  • Roller ticket
  • HR Drivers license desirable
  • Construction white card
  • Own vehicle
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
