ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Operations and Maintenance team, supporting the reliability and performance of our wind turbine fleet, particularly drivetrain systems. This role leads reliability programs, performs Root Cause Analyses, and drives continuous improvement throughout warranty and post-warranty phases.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate safety and compliance into all aspects of wind turbine maintenance and operations.

  • Lead drivetrain reliability programs, oversee trials of new components, and monitor turbine performance.

  • Provide direction and training to site personnel, supporting safe and efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Analyze wind turbine data, oil & grease samples, and vibration reports to increase equipment reliability.

  • Develop specifications, support operational projects, and collaborate on cross-functional engineering efforts.

Required Skills and Competencies

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • At least 3 years of experience in wind turbine operations and maintenance, with drivetrain expertise.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and collaborating across teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital maintenance platforms; able to travel within the U.S. and Canada (40% - 50% of the time).

  • Able to climb wind turbine towers up to 240 feet.

  • Base Pay: $85,000 -$105,000 (based on experience, education, and skillset)

  • 10% Annual Performance Bonus based on individual performance and company metrics.
