Want to use your electrical trade in a growing industry that’s all about clean energy and job security?We’re on the lookout for a hands-on A-Grade Electrician to join our tight-knit team at the Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm, just outside Colac. You’ll be working across 44 turbines that generate up to 132 MW of clean, renewable energy—keeping them running safely and efficiently.
Job Description
- Servicing & Maintenance – Routine and emergency maintenance on wind turbines, HV systems, and site infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs – Fault finding and fixing issues to reduce downtime.
- Safety First – Follow all safety procedures and help build a strong safety culture.
- Teamwork – Work closely with your crew and contribute to continuous improvement.
Roster: Monday: 7 am – 3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday: 7 am- 3 pm. You will be part of a 1:3 callout roster (daytime only unless it’s a substation emergency).
Required Skills and Competencies
- Hold a valid trade Electrical Trade Certificate and A-Grade Electrical License.
- Experience in heavy industry (power, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.)
- Demonstrate basic computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Maintain a current driver's license for manual vehicles.
In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW).
Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.
