Acciona is looking for a an Operations Support Technician/Traveling Wind Turbine Technician travel as needed to service ACCIONA projects throughout ACCIONA Energía is looking for an Operations Support Technician / Traveling Wind Turbine Technician to service ACCIONA projects throughout North America as needed. This position works alongside a team of highly trained professionals to maintain facilities surrounding wind turbines, with a strong focus on major component replacement and preventative maintenance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wind turbine technicians handle assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and maintenance for optimal performance

  • Repair expertise across multiple renewable generating sites, focusing on major components

  • Strict safety protocols, including hazard assessments and PPE compliance

  • Root Cause Analysis support for diagnosing equipment failures and ensuring regulatory compliance

  • Tool and documentation management to maintain efficiency and adherence to industry standards

Required Skills and Competencies

About You

  • Experienced wind turbine technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Hands-on expertise with major turbine components, rigging, and various hand/power tools

  • Comfortable with travel (50%–85%), working at heights of 120M, and managing adverse weather conditions

  • Education & credentials: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a U.S. passport

ACCIONA Energía provides technicians with the necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe and efficient field operations, along with a uniform allowance to support job-related needs. All technicians receive GWO training and certifications, guaranteeing compliance with global wind industry standards. In addition, all turbines are equipped with lifts to assist with elevated maintenance tasks and reduce physical strain.

  • Base Pay: $28 – $38 hourly (based on experience, education, and skillset)

  • Eligible candidates may qualify for a $2,500 sign-on bonus if they hold current, verifiable certifications; contact recruiter for more information. 

  • 5% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics).

  • 5% Availability bonus

  • Eligibility for compensation raise when performing specialized work or travel
