Consists of one of the country’s biggest-ever infrastructure projects. Forms part of an energy project including a 1,100 MW hydroelectric power station in British Columbia for BC Hydro, the province’s electric utility.
The project includes the construction of an earth dam, two bypass tunnels, a concrete foundation for the generating station, and spillways.
Peace River Hydro Partners (PRHP) contributes to the Peace River Region giving support to the local communities. PRHP has three core values that represent the pillars of the stakeholder’s support: Healthy Families, Children & Youth and Education.
Social initiatives are carried out, such as Job fairs, local engagement meetings, social activities, events for the benefit of the community and monetary donations.
To cover 40% of energy demand in the area of influence.
Sufficient supply to meet the demand of 450,000 homes. It will contribute a large quantity of clean, renewable energy to BC and favor economic development and job creation.
