ART AND SUSTAINABILITY AT THYSSEN-BORNEMISZA MUSEUM

An itinerary conceived to encourage sustainable thinking with the permanent collection of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, Spain.

The itinerary consists of 12 masterpieces of art history selected based on aesthetic-experience criteria that interrelate art and sustainable development in terms of ecology, economy and society.

From Claudio de Lorena to Natalia Goncharova or from Vincent Van Gogh to Romare Bearden; through the different styles defining the periods embodied by the artists, showing natural scenes, urban landscapes, the consequences of industrialisation, human consumption of resources, etc.

ACCIONA and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum take visitors on a unique journey helping them to understand how the world has developed while enjoying the work of some of the most important painters of the last 500 years.
