• A graduate in Economics from the Complutense University in Madrid, he has been linked to the group throughout his working career.

• In 1977 he joined the construction company, Entrecanales y Távora, S.A., as Accounting Manager in the Department of Associates.

• Between 1980 and 1983 he worked in the company’s offices in Ecuador and Paraguay as the Administrative Director.

• Between 1986 and 1992 he held the position of Audit Director for the Entrecanales Group, following which he was appointed Deputy Executive Director  of Finance for the Group.

• In 1997, he became Director of Financial Control of ACCIONA, S.A. and was appointed to the board of directors in 2001, becoming Chief Financial Officer and member of the board in 2004.

• He has also been Managing Director of Airtel Móvil, S.A. and the Hydroelectricity Company of Navarra (EHN).
