About the Project

Lumsden Point is a major infrastructure development designed to enhance port capacity and connectivity in Western Australia. The project involves complex structural works, requiring innovative solutions and a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. ACCIONA is proud to deliver this transformative project supporting regional growth and global trade.

About the Position

As a Senior Supervisor, you will report to the Superintendent/Construction Manager and play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality construction outcomes.

You will oversee complex civil and structural works packages, with a strong focus on major concrete structures and heavy construction activities. You will lead crews and subcontractors across multiple work fronts, ensuring safe execution, program alignment, and adherence to quality and compliance standards.

This role requires deep technical expertise in concrete construction, strong site leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex lifting operations and contractor interfaces.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of concrete, structural, and civil works
  • Drive and enforce a strong safety culture, including WHS and high-risk activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and labour across multiple work fronts
  • Monitor productivity and progress against program and report to project leadership
  • Ensure all works meet quality standards and are documented correctly
  • Identify and manage risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with ACCIONA procedures, permits, and statutory requirements
  • Support planning, sequencing, and resource allocation with engineers and site teams
  • Resolve complex site issues and optimise construction methodologies

Key Experience & Technical Requirements

  • Concrete structures delivery (large-scale infrastructure)
  • In-situ (insitu) concrete construction
  • Low heat concrete and thick element pours
  • Understanding of cooling tubes and embedded systems
  • Marine environment concrete works (highly desirable)
  • Managing subcontractors and multiple contractor interfaces
  • Heavy lifting operations, including experience working with crawler cranes in the 350T range

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 10+ years’ experience in civil construction supervision roles
  • Proven capability delivering complex structural or concrete packages
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing crews and subcontractors
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk construction activities safely
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing project conditions and resolve challenges efficiently

Qualifications & Tickets

  • Trade Certificate or similar
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card (if applicable)
  • Provide First Aid (Level 2)
  • Certificate III in Work Health & Safety (or similar)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
