About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to join our team in Brisbane. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality spatial analysis and mapping solutions across our business unit and project portfolio. 

The GIS Analyst plays an important role in managing spatial data, preparing insightful GIS outputs, and supporting the development and maintenance of web and mobile GIS applications. You will work closely with project teams and senior GIS professionals to ensure spatial information is accurate, accessible, and delivers real value to our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality spatial analysis, mapping outputs, and visualisations to support project teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and support of web and mobile GIS applications under the guidance of the GIS Manager.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand GIS requirements and provide practical spatial data solutions. 
  • Support the acquisition, validation, cleansing, translation, and distribution of spatial data, including coordination with project teams and external data providers.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and visually compelling online and static mapping products aligned with project and business needs. 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Spatial Science, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a GIS or spatial analyst role, ideally within infrastructure, construction, utilities, or environmental projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Exposure to FME Form, FME Flow, and web GIS platforms (e.g. VertiGIS Studio / Geocortex) is desirable.
  • Familiarity working with survey, design, utilities, environmental, heritage, land access, or ground disturbance data. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured, process-driven approach.
  • Well-developed communication, organisation, and time management skills.
