About the Project

The Southern Program Alliance is contracted by Victorian Government to remove most dangerous and congested level crossings. This is a critical infrastructure project with significant public impact.

Work on a high-profile infrastructure project as part of a global team, using continuous improvement methodology and innovative technology which enable us to leave a genuine legacy.

The Opportunity

Within the Southern Program Alliance, the site engineer team is responsible to provide technical support and engineering expertise for the effective execution of design. They work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the quality requirements are understood and applied on site through to project closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Safe Work Methods, Statements (SWMS), Construction Procedures and Site Access Plans

  • Tracking of costs and establishment of productivity measures Assist in procurement and the arrangement of Purchase Orders

  • Ensure all site staff are inducted, and sub-contractor attendance has occurred, manage and diligently record the traceability of materials, work lots and works complete

  • Manage and ensure daily works activities are undertaken in accordance with all permits, approvals, design drawings, specifications, and work management plans

  • Prepare work packages and send out for pricing, develop a plan (quantities, materials, program) of how to build a scope of works

  • Monitor the completion of project milestones against goals and take necessary action, identify and escalate possible variances from project plans,

  • Aware of risks and act on or escalate risks, as appropriate, use financial and other resources responsibly, arrange for delivery of materials to align with site requirements

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or similar)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience post Graduating working as a project-based delivery engineer in the construction engineering industry, in disciplines such as rail and associated civil infrastructure

  • Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
