The Opportunity:
The Project Cost Controller will be responsible for managing project performance by overseeing scheduling, cost control, and risk management for construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to identify and track critical path activities and undertake schedule risk assessments to identify potential schedule risk
Communicate any schedule issues and impacts to delivery team for early mitigation and management.
Support commercial, financial and delivery teams in preparing monthly cost reports from SEO for end of month reporting, ensuring Vendor Valuations support all Progress Claims and Accruals
Identify and assess project risks impacting time and cost in the LinkedOffice R&O register, and ensure a clear distinction between centralised R&O and in-code risk contingency held within the LinkedOffice forecast back sheets
Support the assessment of change impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget, using the budget, cost planning process, LinkedSite actuals and LinkedOffice forecast back sheets
Assist in managing supplier relationships and performance ensuring regular supplier meetings are held with documented minutes, reviewing and assessing LinkedSite daily records and monthly LinkedOffice
Required Skills and Competencies
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance or similar
- 4+ years in a similar cost control/finance role
- Previous exposure to Civil/Rail infrastructure highly regarded
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Package.
