ACCIONA Energía North America is looking for a Services Sourcing Specialist to join the Procurement team in our Chicago office. In North America, we own and operate a portfolio exceeding 3.1 GW of renewable capacity—including wind, solar, battery storage, and concentrated solar power (CSP). Our growing team of over 300 employees across the U.S. and Canada is committed every day to building a more resilient energy future.As a Services Sourcing Specialist in ACCIONA, you’ll serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, and a range of suppliers and subcontractors during the market research and buyout phases of our renewable energy projects.
You’ll lead the strategic sourcing of design services and sub-consultants for new developments while driving cost optimization initiatives within your area of responsibility. Job Description
Collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams to review and update the project procurement plan in response to evolving project needs and conditions.
Lead end-to-end bid processes, including RFP development and issuance, managing bidder inquiries, hosting pre-bid meetings, receiving and evaluating bids, preparing commercial bid tabulations and cost analyses, facilitating bid clarifications, and selecting successful bidders.
Conduct in-depth vendor research for assigned categories, including identifying potential suppliers, overseeing registration, and ensuring qualification for participation in RFPs.
Manage vendor risk by leading the registration, analysis, and homologation process in our procurement platform, in coordination with the global sourcing team.
Drive contract negotiations—with support from Legal and internal stakeholders—to finalize contract terms and establish master service agreements.
Issue and manage daily purchase orders aligned with corporate sourcing strategies and project requirements within your assigned scope.
Leverage Acciona’s procurement systems and tools to conduct data analysis in support of strategic category development.

Required Skills and Competencies
About You
You’ve been building your career in procurement, including hands-on experience managing sourcing processes, negotiating contracts, and working with cross-functional teams. You’re organized, you take initiative, and you’re confident navigating dynamic environments. You bring solid knowledge of purchasing systems and are comfortable managing vendor relationships and coordinating with international teams.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or sourcing, including industry experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Construction
Experience sourcing and contracting services such as engineering, consulting, geotechnical assessments, topographic studies, rentals, and quality services
Advanced understanding of purchasing processes and procurement procedures
Proficiency in SAP is required; Ariba Sourcing experience is a plus
Ability to travel (at least 5% of the time) and hold a valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain a valid passport
