ACCIONA carried out the design, supply, construction and start-up of a 42 MW electricity generation plant of combined capacity, consisting of an Internal Combustion Engine-Generator fired by fuel oil, including a 230 KV substation and auxiliary lines, with a construction period for the project of 27 months. The total sum of the contract with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is $92 million US.
The plant includes a steam turbine that completes the thermal cycle by making use of hot exhaust gases to generate additional clean energy.
Awarded by the CFE for its execution
A DLE (Dry Low Emission) system has been designed and pre-installed to reduce NOx emissions by up to 90%
The project was completed in record time in comparison to previous plants of the same type developed by the CFE
