Accountability of each of our actions.
We measure the development of activities carried out under the Sustainability Master Plan and report progress made to the Sustainability Committee and Company stakeholders. This measurement is made through these channels:
- The Sustainability Report: ACCIONA's Sustainability Report offers reliable and balanced information on the economic, social and environmental performance of its business management.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index: ACCIONA provides the
SAM (Sustainable Asset Management) rating agency the information
required to be evaluated according to criteria established by the
Dow Jones Sustainability Index. For a company to join this
prestigious family of indexes focused on sustainable business
management, it is required to meet the following criteria
- Economic (code of conduct, corporate governance, risk and crisis management and sector-specific criteria).
- Relationship with the environment (respect for the environment - ecoefficiency, environmental analysis and sector-specific criteria).
- Social (Corporate Responsibility and philanthropy, labor indicators, human capital development, social analysis, talent management, recruitment and sectorspecific criteria).
- FTSE4GOOD: Following a new half-year assessment, ACCIONA continues to rank on the FTSE4Good Index Series. Companies in the FTSE4Good Index Series have met stringent social and environmental criteria, and are positioned to capitalise on the benefits of responsible business practice.
- United Nations Global Compact: As a signatory company of the United Nations Global Compact, ACCIONA creates an annual progress report or COP (Communication On Progress). In it, the Company reports on its progress in implementing the ten principles upheld by the Covenant.
- Carbon Disclousure Project (CDP): This independent and nonprofit organization collects relevant information on climate change among the world's largest companies and has created the largest database of corporate global emissions of greenhouse gases.
- MSCI Indexes: ACCIONA is part of the MSCI
World ESG (*) Index and the MSCI Europe ESG Index which include
companies with high environmental, social and governance ratings
relative to their peers in the sector.
(*) ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. - STOXX: ACCIONA is a component of the STOXX® Sustainability Indices which cover the European and Eurozone top leaders in terms of sustainability. The analysis is based on general as well as industry-specific criteria covering environmental, social and governance issues.
Identification of leading practices
We identify sustainability initiatives that can be an opportunity for improvement. Sustainability requires a commitment to ongoing learning and reflection. ACCIONA undertakes research and analysis to identify best sustainability practices. This information helps us identify opportunities for improvement and design initiatives which we feed back into our Sustainability Master Plan.

Periodic review allows for appropriate adjustments and ensures that we reach the goals we have set.
