Vision 2050. The new agenda for business
ACCIONA is sponsoring the Spanish-language version
of 'Vision 2050. The new agenda for business'. The report,
drawn up by the WBCSD, of which ACCIONA sits on the Executive
Committee, develops a vision of a world in which "more than
nine billion people will live reasonably well, within the limits of
the planet". This document is the result of the collective
work of 29 companies the world over and hundreds of interviews and
collaborative efforts in 20 countries across the globe.
'Vision 2050' addresses three questions: What does a sustainable world look like? How can we realize it? What are the roles business can play in ensuring more rapid progress toward that world?
'Vision 2050' sets out to provide a road map, a document for debate or a point of reference for business, governments and organizations alike. It aims to help them understand the new risk scenarios and the changes that need to be made if we are to respond successfully to the challenges raised by sustainability, such as emissions reduction, or water management; and it attempts to help them form a vision of the business opportunities that these challenges offer for companies whose strategies include sustainability practices.
