Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change

ACCIONA considers collaboration on climate change, between the private sector, public institutions and social organizations, to be crucial. The company signed the world business communiqué presented at the 2007 Bali Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

In 2008, to coincide with the holding in Poznan (Poland) of the 14th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 14), at which top-level representatives of 192 countries arrived at a new consensus to combat climate change, ACCIONA again signed a communiqué on the subject, along with more than 150 other international companies.

Copenhagen Communiqué on Climate Change

Copenhagen Communique Spanish This coming December, the main world governments are meeting to seal a new agreement on climate change at the Copenhagen Summit (COP 15). To add to the debate, the international business community has prepared another communiqué through which it asks world leaders for an ambitious, fair and efficient agreement in this area.

As it did in Bali and Poznan, ACCIONA is this year once more signing the manifesto in line with the company's commitment to sustainable development and the fight against climate change.

In parallel, the United Nations has launched the global "Seal the Deal!" campaign, the aim of which is to foster the political will and public support needed to the reach a global climate agreement at the Copenhagen Summit.

ACCIONA, as a participant in the Global Compact and a company committed to tackling climate change, has joined the "Seal the Deal!" initiative.
