Construction and sustainable transport
The Technological Center of Madrid devotes it R&D to the Infrastructures, Environment and Transport areas.
This Center was officially opened in
2007, covering an area of 3,500 m2 between offices and
laboratories, plus an additional 1,200 m2 of plant buildings used
for manufacturing and testing elements on a real scale. This Center
also has another 14 laboratories equipped with the latest
technologies specialized in developing advanced materials and more
sustainable construction processes.
Research is also conducted at these laboratories in areas such as eco-efficient building construction or biotechnology. A total of more than 160 highly-qualified professionals of more than ten nationalities currently work at the Technological Center of Madrid.
