Sustainability risk analysis
ACCIONA's risk map identifies internal and external threats to achieving the Company's objectives.
To implement the analysis offered by this map, we not only consider the financial risks but also the Company's social and environmental impact. This gives us sustainability risk scenarios.
The identification of risk scenarios associated with social, environmental and corporate governance.
In this line of action, ACCIONA has advanced mainly in two directions: the identification of risk scenarios related directly or indirectly to social, environmental and corporate governance, and the inclusion of the negative impact on Sustainability and Development as one of the risk analysis criteria.
This new appraisal criterion analyzes factors such as lack of ethics and corporate transparency, lack of response to stakeholder expectations and the degree of acceptance in communities where ACCIONA operates. In the case of International Infrastructures, this approach is reinforced by the peculiarities of the projects in this business area.
The "negative impact on sustainability and development" critierion is added to criterion such as Probability, Economic and financial implications, Image Impact, Risk management capacity and Company-established management.
