ACCIONA ranked ‘ Gold Class Sector Leader’ by PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PwC) and Sustainable Asset Mangement (SAM), and included among the world’s most responsible companies by Corporate Knights magazine.
ACCIONA’s new Environmental Efficiency Program seeks 10% improvement in two years

The program establishes three main objectives for the first two years: achieve a 10% increase in energy efficiency and water consumption ratios; keep down waste generation and optimize waste treatment, and continue to ensure that all business activities meet environmental needs.
The four-year Plan will run worldwide in two-phases until 2012 and will be introduced first in offices and later in work centers.
ACCIONA invests 550 million dollars in the largest wind park in Latin America to supply electricity to CEMEX in Mexico

The president of the Mexican Republic, Felipe Calderón, inaugurated today the first stage of the Eurus wind park in Oaxaca.
With a capacity of 250 MW, the facility will produce enough electricity to supply a city of 500,000.
37 MW have already been installed in the park and the facility will be in operation in the fourth quarter of 2009.
