ACCIONA Agua enters the Dominican Republic with a contract to build a DWTP and multiple aqueduct

The company clinches a 74 million euro contract for the construction and commissioning of a drinking water plant, a 17.5 km adduction line and a supply network in Peravia province.
The plant is essential for the local population, in an area blighted by a shortage of drinking water for more than 40 years.

ACCIONA is building three hospitals and a ten-surgery Family Medicine Unit in Mexico, in a deal worth around 500 Mexican pesos (about 30 million euros). Construction work is under way on the 40-bed Tecate Hospital; two 30-bed Rural Hospitals in Aztalán (Veracruz) and Mamentel (Campeche), and a Family Medicine Unit comprising ten doctor’s surgeries in Mexicali (Baja California).

ACCIONA opens its first CSP plant in Spain, in Extremadura

The 50MW "Alvarado I" plant represents an investment of 236 million euros and will generate enough electricity to supply 28,000 homes.
This is the first Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) facility to come into operation in the Extremadura region, where ACCIONA is currently building a second plant.
ACCIONA has a CSP plant in the Nevada Desert (USA) which has been operating since 2007; it uses the same parabolic cylinder technology as the power plants in Spain.
The 130-hectare Alvarado facility has 184,320 mirrors aligned in rows for capturing sunlight.

ACCIONA Infrastructure has won a 270 million Canadian dollar contract to build and run the Fort St. John Hospital, in British Columbia, Canada. The project includes construction and design, and a 30-year Operation and Maintenance concession. The 55-bed hospital includes a residential annexe for seniors with an additional 123 beds, and covers a total 35,000 square metres.

Mitsubishi Corporation, the Japanese general trading company (sogo shosha), and ACCIONA, the Spanish leader in renewable energies, infrastructure and water services, have signed a strategic alliance to develop and operate renewable energy projects and share innovation aimed at leading the development of sustainable solutions worldwide. Both companies signed the Memorandum of Understanding today in Madrid with "the firm commitment to promote economic and social development and protect the environment with a global perspective".
