It is important to admit that all activities and services have an environmental impact. The aim of ACCIONA activity is to lead innovative business initiatives which provide the services required by society while simultaneously generating greater welfare with a reduced use of resources.

The environmental role of the company is directly dependent on the Chairman of ACCIONA through the General Directorate for Strategic analysis and R&D&I, which includes the Department of Processes, Quality and the Environment.

Each business line has a quality and environmental manager and undertakes a commitment to society, managing according to the following:

• Establishment of quality and environmental impact objectives, which not only ensure compliance with current legislation, but also encourage the proactive identification of points which improve our position and reduce the impact of our actions.
• Continuous monitoring of these indicators, as a sustainability barometer of our activity.
• Introduction of corrective measures which ensure compliance with the same.
• Publication and dissemination of indicators, policies and actions put into practice, that foster the commitment of all the parties involved (employees, customers, suppliers...)
• Staff training with the aim of increasing awareness of our commitments and the capacity to act in the most efficient manner possible.

At ACCIONA, we continue working on developing our strategy, management formulae and tools to reach a level of the best international practices with respect to efficiency and sustainability.
