WBCSD
ACCIONA was the first Spanish IBEX 35 company to join this global network. WBCSD is a global association of 180 countries, bound together in their commitment to sustainable development through innovation, eco-efficiency and corporate responsibility. Members are from more than 30 countries and 20 major industrial sectors.
ACCIONA is an active member of the WBCSD, participating in a number of working groups on Climate Change and Energy, Sustainable Building, and the Role of the Company in Future Society, among other initiatives.
WBCSD Meeting New York
In the autumn of 2006, ACCIONA took part in the WBCSD plenary meeting held in New York. Participants discussed and evaluated sustainability from the American perspective. It became clear that concern for energy and climate change is increasing at every level.
WBCSD´s 2008 meeting will be held in Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa.
